The inspiration of the series is from the classic painting, which is more found in Vanitas painting; it refers to the sense of emptiness or a worthless action. 'Vanity of Vanities', the implication of these words is that all human action is transient in contrast to the everlasting nature of faith. I collected most of the props from unexpected treasures estate sale, and I used them to restore the luxury of kitchenwares and the classic beauty from them on the tabletop, meantime, I added some gadgets that we seem can’t live without today...

 

My intent is to imply the verse of “the thing that has been, it is that which shall be; which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun"... There isn't a new thing, is it?
